While out west visiting family in the Bay Area, we took a day to explore Angel Island State Park, just one of the natural gems a stone’s throw from San Francisco.
The island is only accessible by boat, so we took the ferry in from Tiburon
The 5.5 mile perimeter trail offers a great survey of the island, complete with stunning views of the bay, historical sites, and stunning wilderness
If you’ve got a day to spare while in SF - it’s worth your time! I know we’ll be heading back to explore all the other nooks and crannies of the island we missed the first time!
